The Andean cover of Iron Maiden that everyone was waiting for!
The Andean folk prog-metallers Flor de Loto, from Lima, Peru, have just released their latest single on all digital music platforms.
This time it's a very Peruvian version of the Iron Maiden classic "Afraid to shoot strangers".

This version not only finds a band already aged, with more than 20 years of career fusing heavy metal and progressive rock with the music of the Peruvian Andes, but it is also produced by the renowned producer Roy Z, who in addition to being Guitarist for Bruce Dickinson himself, he has also worked as a producer for bands such as Judas Priest, Skid Row, Sepultura and Rob Halford. The North American musician has also produced Flor de Loto's last studio album (Eclipse, 2008), and at the moment he is working with the band on a new album that will have music stars like Arthur Brown and Fabio Lione as guests.

Vagus (members from INSISION & VISCERAL BLEEDING) announce new album to 2022
INSISION members R. Johansson & C. Birath are back after five years of silence with a new deadly project named VAGUS.
Formed by F. Segell and R. Johansson Guitars the five-piece also contains T. Persson from legendary VISCERAL BLEEDING on Drums as well as the immensely talented L. Abrahamson “Mr. Gul” on Bass.
The quintet will as always deliver Brutal Death Metal as it is supposed to sound.
With a release date set to 2022-01-31, they will release a four-track EP named "SULFUROUS" with a promise that this will be a journey back to the roots of Brutal Death Metal with technical, filthy & brutal riffs as it should be!
SULFUROUS will be released under their new self-titled label (IMPAMIIZ PRODUCTIONS)

Rúnaláng is not about traditions or history, but an emotional and atmospheric journey through music. Tribal drums and ancient instruments are just the fundamental of the music, which become full and epic by using symphonic and other elements.

KEKAL released a brand-new Single “Anthropos Rising”
To finish off the year 2021, avant-garde metal/rock band Kekal just released the brand-new song "Anthropos Rising" as a digital single, also accompanied by the music video. This makes the first taste of what is to come in the year 2022, with more new songs to be released one at a time individually as digital singles, to form the (yet untitled) upcoming album. "Anthropos Rising" has all the fresh musical approach, in a more uplifting, organic and in-your-face production followed by spiritually-charged lyrics about the great awakening and ascension.
The digital single is released as a free download through the band’s Bandcamp page and streaming through various mainstream digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc.). At the same time, the band also released a music video of this new song on YouTube.

Formed in 1995 as a more straightforward extreme metal band, Jakarta - Indonesia-based Kekal has been venturing deeper into the continuous exploration in creating music for more than two decades. Their monumental 4th album "1000 Thoughts of Violence" (2003) marked as the beginning of their journey into the unknown. Kekal is one of the first bands/musicians from Indonesia to gain international presence in the early and mid-2000 by releasing albums in both North American and European markets, and the first band from Indonesia to tour Europe in March 2004—playing a string of live concerts in Germany, Netherlands and Sweden.
Since 2009, Kekal has become a band with no official members, but some of its former members still continue to make music and release albums for Kekal, albeit as anonymous contributors.
So far, Kekal has released 12 full-length studio albums from 1998 to 2020, and the upcoming one is currently in the works for a possible mid to late 2022 release. Stylistically, the album follows Kekal's faithful tradition by utilizing avant-garde and alternative approaches to various expressions of rock, metal and electronic music.
