NEEDLESS: release new video for "ODIUM"
For fans of Children Of Bodom, Dark Tranquillity, the Faceless.
After revealing the first single from their upcoming studio album, Hungarian progressive/melodic death metal prodigal sons NEEDLESS don’t waste any time and are now back with their second song from “The Cosmic Cauldron”. “Odium” is a complex structured song, where the epic cosmic saga of the band gets to a post-apocalyptic musical landscape. A sharp-as-knife riff and a brilliant solo complete the track, foreshowing great things from Needless upcoming second full-length.

Needless was founded during the winter of 2004 in Dánszentmiklós, Hungary. The band started as a home project, and slowly evolved into an active group for the year 2014. Their music basically consists of traditional elements of melodic thrash and death metal with the atmospheric side of black metal with some progressive elements.
All mixed up into a fierce blend of aggression and ferocity, with mythical themes and nihilistic contemplations about humankind in the lyrics. In 2015 the band came up with their first accountable release called "The Dark Spirit of Ages" EP, which received critically positive feedback. After its release, Needless did several shows in its home country with bands like Aggression, Nervosa, Nuclear, Dew-Scented, and Flotsam And Jetsam.
“The Cosmic Cauldron” will be released in early 2022 via UPRISING! Records.

Alternative progressive rock band Trope released their latest music video for Planes, a single off their highly praised debut album ‘Eleutheromania’. Showcasing a more delicate and eerie offering from the band, Planes features beautiful looping clean guitar riffs while a melodic bass line dances over the seemingly basic yet complex drum groove. Soft to frustrated vocals round out the sonic pallet that is Planes, with subtle time changes sporadically placed.

Planes was filmed in 3 countries due to the band being separated during these times. Vocalist (Diana Studenberg), Guitarist (Joe Ciccia) and Drummer (Sasha Siegel) were filmed in Toronto Canada, Guitarist (Moonhead) was filmed in Sofia Bulgaria, and Bassist (Todd Demma) in Los Angeles, USA, and were edited seamlessly into one space.
Lead singer Diana Studenberg shares: “Planes is about trying to carve out and stay in a creative space and getting constantly torn away from it by reality- we’re all forced to deal with it, in our own microcosms.”
She adds: “It’s also about fiercely clinging to an ideology whilst failing to acknowledge that person standing right in front of you. Overlooking humans, clinging to our planes… ‘you should have seen it then’.”
Planes was filmed by 3 separate crews including cinematographers Edward Lim and Joseph Brock (Toronto), Malcolm Guess (Los Angeles), and Simeon Simeonov (Sofia), production assistants Bri and Raine, and was directed and edited by Moonhead. The suits worn by Diana, Sasha and Joe were made by designer Matthew Davignon in Toronto and Jesse Bella did hair and makeup.
IN MOURNING - "The Bleeding Veil"
“The Bleeding Veil” is out now by Dalapop (digitally and on CD). The LP edition will be released on February 18th (2022) due to worldwide manufacturing problems. The album will be distributed by Bengans Skivbutik.

A stylistic mixture of Swedish 90s Black Metal with Doom influences all with modern production.

Finland's thrash/hc/punk collective Sledge release new video for 2nd Strike
Tampere-based independent thrash/hc/punk collective Sledge have released a new video for the track 2nd Strike.
The Finnish DIY-oriented band has been active since 2008 and last August saw them release the EP Square One.
