Coldbound: New Single 'Skies Are Weeping'

 


Finnish progressive symphonic metal band Coldbound shared their creative process and reinvented sound approach for their latest single, "Skies Are Weeping," which was released on March 3rd, 2023. After a long hiatus, Coldbound has come back stronger than ever, incorporating the biggest production ever in the history of the band, providing an unparalleled sonic experience for their audience.

According to Pauli Souka, the song was written in the summer of 2018 and finalized during 2022. Coldbound aimed to merge all inspirations into one track while reinventing their sound. This single is the introduction of Coldbound's new sound approach, as the band went in for a bigger and more epic sound while creating a wall of sound surrounding the general theme.

The 'Skies Are Weeping' signifies a new era for the band while being the first song to be released with the newest line up. Souka hopes that fans will connect with the song and its themes on a personal level, as it is an ode to the esoteric world of each and one of us.

Mixed by Samuel Ruotsalainen at Beat Domination Studio and Pauli Souka at Kallbunden Recordings, and mastered by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers West, "Skies Are Weeping" is a true masterpiece that showcases the talent and creativity of every artist involved. With the new single and cinematic visualizer video, Coldbound is ready to take the symphonic metal scene by storm.
